IPOF remembers Officer Daniel Leach

Correctional Officer Daniel Leach was killed in an automobile accident on U.S. 95, near Searchlight, at approximately 5:45 am. He was driving a prisoner transport van to the Tucker Holding Facility to pickup prisoners when the vehicle collided with a semi truck that pulled into his path from a side street. Officer Leach had served with the agency for 25 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.

 

IPOF remembers Officer Trevor Nettleton

Officer Trevor Nettleton was shot and killed after being confronted by several robbery suspects in his garage.
Officer Nettleton was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for three years. He is survived by his wife, two-year-old son, two-month-old daughter, parents, and his brother who is currently serving in Iraq.

 

IPOF remembers Officer Milburn Beitel

Officer Milburn "Millie" Beitel died in the line of duty on Thursday, October 8th, 2009. He was 30 years old and had been with Metro for five years. He passed away around 1:30 a.m., following surgery at UMC. The patrol car he and his partner, Officer David W. Nesheiwat, were riding in was involved in an accident.

 

IPOF Remembers Officer James Manor

Officer James ManorOfficer James Manor died in the line of duty on Thursday, May 7, 2009. He was killed in an accident while responding to a domestic violence call. Officer Manor had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for two years. He is survived by his daughter.
